- Faith
A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.
There is a distinct difference between the businessperson who operates based on living in the Promised Land versus the one who operates in Egypt. In Egypt, the businessperson sweats and toils to generate an outcome. The final objective is foremost in their mind. Outcome is everything.
In the Promised Land, we learn that obedience is the only thing that matters. We are called to execute, and leave outcome to God. Sometimes that outcome is very positive, yielding a return. In other cases, we may not yield a corresponding return. We may even get a negative outcome. The difference is that we know that we have been faithful to what God has called us to and we yield results to God. God often blesses obedience beyond what we deserve. If God brings wealth to your life, it should come as a by-product of obedience, not an end in itself.
God may call each of us to be obedient to situations that may not yield immediate, positive results. It is in these times that our faith must be obedience-based versus outcome-based. What if Jesus had considered the immediate ramifications of whether he would go to the cross? Based on the immediate outcome, the decision would have been an easy one. Who wants to die on a cross? However, for Him there was a higher purpose in that obedience. We are called to this same kind of obedience. This means putting our own flesh on the line daily, dying to our own self-will.
This is what it means to be a faithful man. Pray that God will make you a faithful man today.

I don’t think faith should ever be outcome based. Faith to my mind is more about trusting God regardless of circumstance. I also think there can be too much of a focus on the life down here rather than the life we’ll have in heaven. Blessed are the poor, etc
Like the blog. Hope you keep writing
Amen bro ….like the duck ..laughs
Not sure on the focus deal.. I do press towards the mark but we also live on earth for now and are at war…a spiritual war…so we also must be aware at all times…and focus would be a good thing.Focus on God and focus on being Christ like…as well as so much more.
I however like to keep my eyes focused on the Lord but I am very aware of the spiritual war/ battle around us.
God Bless you and Thanks

I like the duck as well B-)
The idea of focus is important. I’m just very wary of those who to, quote John Piper, place gifts above giver. That’s what I mean by focus. It’s not that God is enough but God is enough to get me X that is worrisome to me.
We are in a spiritual battle at times. The victory is ours. But we must always move only on clear direction from God. Taking on strongholds all around you for the sake of it is pointless.
I’ll stop before I start preaching
Laughs…Go Ahead and preach it …
LOVE is all about giving.
I do not think I have ever met anyman who is ALL knowing other than the Lord himself. The post was given to me by a friend, Im not sure who’s work it is..but I enjoyed it..I do my best to try not to rip things apart….but I use to do that with everything in a big way and then I would miss the small blessings.
Anyway please feel free to share…I enjoy hearing other points of view…one thing I have learned is to eat from many diffrent tables when it comes to Gods word…God works in all of us in so many diffrent ways.
God Bless you
Have an abundant day
